The Concept of Advertising Puzzles

Christ  open a new pizza house in downtown , on first day he gave an advertisement in local  newspaper “ Tasty naughty  Pizza House opening in Downtown today ” ( with all information and address ). Next  early morning Christ  open  his shop and ready with pizzas to sell, unfortunately  by whole day very few customers walked in . He spend 500$ on that ad and now he in -500$ in his business. So what exactly happened with his ad? There is hundreds of other ad in newspaper published on that day. In all of them his ad is “LOST”.  This is very common from Pizza House to Pizza Hut it happens with every second traditional advertisement, they lost!!!  It might be due to clutters, colors or there is nothing unique/interesting in their advertisement. Everyone can’t afford Angelina Jolie!!

So here I am trying to tell a concept of “Advertising Puzzles” (Ad Puzzle) how we use puzzles in advertisement.

“An advertisement which is published with embed a puzzle or a puzzle is added to support the ad to increase the involvement of readers such an advertisement is known as Advertising puzzles i.e. Ad Puzzle”

By all traditional ads published “Ad Puzzle” looks different and interesting. So response for ad will increase. Reader will spend more minutes on ad, He try to solve “Ad Puzzle” during this reader get to know all information that advertiser want to pass. He might show Ad Puzzle to others or take help from others. Some Ad Puzzles designed such a way that it is a win-lose game between more than one player. It all for increases involvement, you can also add offers/prize to puzzle.

Let make out Big Picture, I will explain it point wise because I am not a good writer to write in paragraphs.

A Right Ad Puzzle:

We studied near about 2000+ types of puzzles and found 50+ types which can be used to make Ad Puzzles or to use in ads. There are several ways to use one type. Every type of puzzle can’t be used because they are so tough to solve by common mass.

There are number of things that have to keep in mind while designing the right puzzle for ad,

  • What is the Product or service? 
  • What message advertiser wants to pass? Is it discount, brand awareness or launch etc?
    Which is target audience? Children, men, women, collage goings, business holder, IT professional, Doctors etc.
  • Which language is suitable? Or we use pictorial puzzles.
  • Which is the advertising media?  Is it for Newspaper, magazines, exhibition, Television, Hoardings, leaflet or Internet? 
  • In which size Ad Puzzle looks good or advertiser afford the space size.
  • It is not that for every ad, Ad Puzzle can apply.
  • It is necessary to symbolize the Ad Puzzle as “Ad Puzzle” (i.e. Puzzle Head). By which a reader give special attention (ad will not skip) or plan to solve in his bare time. It will look different from traditional Ad and Categories them differently.  Gradually habit will create to see towards Ad Puzzle. 
  • There are some types of puzzles which we applied to make an Ad Puzzle so it didn’t affect the normal look or message of traditional ad, as it is published without puzzled.
